On 3/8/17, I started the program Couch 25K.  I jumped in on the second week because I had started the program before in 2015 (and made it to day 3).  I needed something new to do, as I had just finished an 18lb weightloss and really wanted to walk/jog a few 5Ks this summer.

I thought I was going to die the first few days.  OMG .. I had to run a full 90 seconds before I could walk!

Well, today is 3/27/17.  I haven't fully followed the program for the fact that I've never taken a rest day.  Tonight, I ran 23 minutes non-stop until I walked (as the program indicated).  Could I have gone farther?  Of course.  Am I at the 3.12 mark?  Absolutely not.  Currently at the 34 minute mark, I've gone 2.5 miles.  That's progress in my book.

It's all a mental game.  Your body is able to handle so much more than you think!

Welcome ...


Related imageThis blog has been a long time coming.  I just had to get to the point where my thoughts were clear and my story was ready to be told.  My journey of almost 42 years has been eventful; a story that perhaps would make great material for a Soap.  I hope my thoughts may encourage others; to show you that no matter what happens, you pick up and start over.
